Valentine's Day weddings at the county clerk's office in Fresno, California:

This couple was turned away by the county clerk because their "gender markers" were both listed as female (same sex marriages have been discontinued in California). Instead, a symbolic handfasting ceremony was held for them outside on the sidewalk.

I had a fun time shooting Alex & Lisa's 17th wedding here in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica. The couple is getting married in every country they visit, hoping to experience unique celebrations and traditions. They were married in one of the crashed planes that was part of the Iran Contra scandal. They let me do anything I wanted with the portraits so I dorked out with some artsy stuff. If you're interested in shooting one of their ceremonies, they are headed down through South America next... then to Australia... then Asia. :)
